Planning

The planning commission reviews and makes recommendations to city council on matters pertaining to land use and development. The planning commission also updates the master plan and the capital improvement plan when required. 

The commission meets the fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in council chambers. The commission is required to have an August meeting where they will set an annual calendar of a minimum of four meetings, elect a chairman and vice-chairman to a one-year term. Special meetings are called as needed. The city clerk prepares the meeting packets, keeps the minutes and oversees filling any vacancies.
