Where can I register to vote?

Residents of the city of Algonac can register to vote with the City Clerk, at any Secretary of State office, or online at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/RegisterVoter/Index

How do I know if I’m already registered?

Check the Michigan Voter Information Center.

I want to vote at home. How do I do that?

Voting at home means you are voting by absentee ballot. The city clerk can send you an absentee ballot after an absent voter (AV) ballot application has been submitted. Absentee Ballot Application

You may also use the Absent Voter Ballot Application to request to automatically be sent an absent voter ballot for each future election by checking the box in Section 2 of the form.

When is the next election?

In the State of Michigan, elections are only held in February, May, August and November.  The City of Algonac holds elections in the even years only, unless the State of Michigan of School Board calls for a special election.
