There are several different functions that work together allowing the Finance Department to carry out its duties.
The assessor ensures all tax assessments are accurate, fair, equitable and lawful. Assessments are used to generate property taxes guaranteeing revenues for the operation of all local governing units.
Finance is responsible for all financial records, payroll, accounts payable, annual audit completion, bond sale activity and benefit plans.
Treasury is responsible for the daily receipt, deposit, control and distribution of all receipts such as taxes, water and sewer payments.

If you pay your property taxes through an escrow account, the original property tax bills will be sent directly to that escrow agent. You will receive a clearly marked courtesy copy of your tax bill for your records.
