Boards & Commissions Application Process

Any registered voter in the city is eligible to serve on a board or commission. Interested parties can submit an application at any time. Applications are valid for one year. When an opening occurs, all applicants applying for that board or commission are contacted.

If a current board or commission member's term is expiring; they will be contacted by the clerk to see if they are willing to be re-appointed. If so, it goes on the next agenda to be approved by council. If not, any applicants on file are contacted at that time.
